Founded in 1958 as Private School No. 13, an establishment that welcomed children and young people from Ignatian families, simple and hard-working, providing educational training without neglecting the values, Catholic and pedagogical teaching of its founders, three young religious from Germany: Sister Armella Hutzler, Sister Josefina Hennerberger and Sister Berta Augustin, who would see how this simple school, in 1988, took an important turn in its formative delivery, becoming what is currently the María Ward Polytechnic School of San Ignacio, delivering in its 62 years a comprehensive training from its beginnings and expanding its vision and mission of education towards the interaction and understanding of 21st century teaching.
